The famous Ironsides were the elite cavalrymen of Parliamentarian cavalry under Oliver Cromwell during the 17th-century English Civil War.   HANDMADE from 18gauge MILD STEEL, this lightweight helmet is lined with real buff leather for shock absorption and a snug fit. The three protective bars and cheek plates offer significant face protection. An approximate circumference of 68 cm makes it ideal for almost all head sizes. Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
